Dinner with locals is the unique chance to step beyond the realm of the average tourist and experience the local culture by going inside a real Kazakh’s home for a night of delicious home-made meal! Make new friends, enjoy Kazakh hospitality, and share stories.

In Dostar Trips, we treat each of our guests as a friend we just didn’t meet yet (“dostar” means friends from Kazakh). If you take a trip with us – you can rely on our friendly support during all your stay even after the tour, we will always be happy to help you with anything you need – advise the best place to eat, buy a train ticket, meet locals. What You Can Expect:

Meet in central Almaty in the evening and head to your host’s home for a private tasting of traditional Kazakh dishes. Feel welcome by your host and make yourself comfortable in their cozy home. The menu can be altered depending on your personal preferences.

My husband and I booked the "Dinner with Locals" option as a way to meet locals, experience traditional food, and get a better understanding of local culture during our short stay in Almaty.
